Our client forms part of a prominent Group of Companies. They would like to employ an Agency Representative to join their growing team.
The role will be based in Malta and reporting to the Agency Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- General husbandry of assigned vessels
- Obtain and organise data for Head Office team members
- Assisting with market analysis, selling the department’s services and organising all logistics services for ship to ship operations
- Open ship files, collect pre-arrival forms, and submit required data via Transport Malta’s Portnet System to clear all owned, operated, or chartered vessels; supervise vessel calls closely during arrival and departure.
- Keep owners, charterers, and vessel masters continuously updated on vessel status, berthing, work schedules, estimated completion times (ETC), and departure windows.
- Collect and deliver ship documentation, couriers, and spare parts upon arrival, organise complete Ship Files (including checklists, correspondence, crew lists, statements of facts, and disbursement account estimates).
- Forward Proforma Disbursement Accounts to Finance post-departure and manage follow-ups on any damage to vessels, equipment, or third parties.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday: Office Hours
The role entitles that you work on a roster of 24/7 when scheduled, every 3 weeks
Requirements
- Be computer literate and have a good grasp in word-processing and spread-sheet building
- In possession of a valid driving license
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Hardworking and a team player
- Good understanding of shipping operations
