UX/UI & Frontend Engineer (Fully remote)

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated UX/UI & Frontend Engineer to join their team. 

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Feature Ownership: Lead features from problem discovery and UI/UX design (wireframes, user flows, prototypes) to frontend engineering, testing, and deployment.
• Frontend Engineering & Integration: Build production-ready React/TypeScript web applications, integrate REST APIs, manage state and routing, and handle edge cases (loading, empty, error states).
• Design Systems & UI Modernization: Develop and maintain reusable UI components and patterns to drive consistency, while supporting the migration of legacy interfaces to modern design standards.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Maintain application quality by writing automated tests, conducting manual/accessibility/cross-browser testing, troubleshooting production issues, and refactoring technical debt.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work alongside product managers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to refine security workflows and document design components and implementation standards.

Requirements

• Product & UX Design: Demonstrated ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows centered on usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Portfolio Required: Work examples demonstrating features you personally designed and coded.
• Architecture & State Management: Experience with API integrations, asynchronous state management, form validation, and component-based architectures.
• Engineering Standards: Experience with code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, production debugging, and software quality management.

Education and experience

• Full-Stack UI/UX & Frontend Skills: Proven experience bridging product design and frontend engineering (React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Git).
• At least 2 years of experience in a frontend developer role.
• Must be based in Malta
