We are seeking Full-Stack Engineers to build and operate whole feature slices across our client's web foundation. Their applications serve critical missions in defence, intelligence, and law enforcement. Instead of building bespoke systems from scratch, you will help unify our technical foundations onto a shared platform powered by a central design system, unified authentication, and a common semantic layer.
You will own features end-to-end—from React user interfaces down to typed Node.js APIs, PostgreSQL databases, and supporting services. While TypeScript is your daily primary tool, you will also extend features into Go services or Python data pipelines as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery: Ship complete features across React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, ensuring robust handling of large data volumes, pagination, and edge states.
- Platform & Design System: Leverage and contribute back to our shared component library and design system while deprecating legacy bespoke UI.
- Security & Governance: Enforce server-side authorization, OIDC session handling, tenant isolation, and audit-relevant logging across all reads and writes.
- Integrations: Consume core platform capabilities (inference, search, pipelines, durable workflows) through published contracts rather than rebuilding them locally.
- Quality & Ops: Write unit, component, and E2E tests (Vitest, Playwright), instrument telemetry (tracing, metrics), and participate in on-call rotations for services you ship.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experince and proficiency in TypeScript / React (state management, rendering performance for large datasets, component composition) alongside typed Node.js backend development.
- Practical experience with API and database design, including typed request/response contracts, schema validation, complex SQL queries, and safe PostgreSQL schema migrations.
- Solid grasp of testing and security practices, including automated testing frameworks (Vitest, Testing Library, Playwright), OAuth2/OIDC flows, server-side authorization, and input validation.
- Competence with modern tooling and infrastructure, including monorepos (pnpm) and working Kubernetes/container environments (reading manifests, debugging pods).
- Willingness to learn and work across secondary languages such as Go (for backend services) or Python (for data and ML services).
- Experience with advanced UI scale (virtualized tables, timelines, link graphs, map surfaces), durable workflow engines (e.g., Temporal), message queues (Kafka/Redpanda), or air-gapped environments is a strong plus.
