We are looking for a skilled and experienced Tile & Marble Layer. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality tiling and marble installation works across residential and commercial projects, ensuring all finishes are completed accurately and to a high standard.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Install tiles and marble on different surfaces;
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, measuring, marking, and ensuring they are suitable for installation;
- Measure and cut tiles and marble accurately using appropriate hand and power tools;
- Apply adhesives, grout, sealants, and other materials correctly;
- Ensure tiles and marble are properly aligned, levelled, spaced, and securely fixed;
- Create accurate layouts and patterns according to drawings, specifications, and client requirements;
- Carry out finishing work, including grouting, sealing, polishing, and cleaning surfaces;
- Work with different tile sizes, shapes, patterns, and materials while maintaining a high-quality finish;
- Identify and address any issues with surfaces or materials before and during installation;
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within the required timeframe;
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organised condition;
- Follow all health and safety procedures and site requirements;
- Carry out any other tiling, marble, and finishing-related duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to read and follow drawings, measurements, and installation specifications;
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship;
- Capable to carry out manual handling and lift heavy materials safely;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Good English communication skills. Maltese is considered an asset.
Education and experience
- Previous experience as a Tile Layer, Marble Layer and/or Tiler is a must
