As they continue to grow, they're looking for a Technical Operations Lead who enjoys leading by example.
This is a hands-on role where you'll split your time between leading a small team of technicians and getting involved in the technical work yourself.
What you'll be doing
- Leading and coordinating a team of field technicians, ensuring workloads are planned efficiently, and service standards remain high.
- Managing the company's fleet of service vehicles, including servicing, repairs, maintenance and replacement vehicles when required.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical faults including mechanical, electrical and electronic issues.
- Carrying out installations, preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Acting as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates on repairs, maintenance schedules and ongoing service requirements.
- Supporting technicians with complex technical issues and providing guidance whenever needed.
- Managing spare parts inventory and ensuring technicians have the equipment required to complete their work efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate service documentation and ensuring all work is carried out in line with company procedures and health & safety standards.
- Participating in emergency breakdown support when required.
We we're looking for:
- A valid driving licence
- Previous experience working in a technical field service or maintenance environment.
- Experience leading or mentoring a technical team.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- A customer-focused approach and strong communication skills.
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to make decisions and solve problems independently.
- Must be already based in Malta
