Shift Technician

Our client is looking for a Shift Technician, who will oversee day-to-day equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, scheduled servicing, and project integration across site machinery. Serving as the primary technical anchor during morning, afternoon, night, and weekend shifts, you will ensure ongoing plant stability and deliver swift incident response.

Duties and responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Act as the initial responder for equipment failures, facility alarms, and site emergencies.
  • Diagnose technical failures and perform corrective repairs on machinery, utility networks, and plant infrastructure.
  • Carry out scheduled preventive servicing across site machinery and infrastructure.
  • Assist with the setup, testing, and integration of new machinery and capital project rollouts.
  • Drive operational efficiency by participating in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs and departmental upgrades.
  • Log all maintenance records, job details, and service histories accurately within site record-keeping systems.
  • Manage stock levels within the spare parts inventory following established facility protocols.
  • Notify department leadership immediately of any technical faults likely to interrupt production schedules.
  • Oversee external service providers and contractors performing work on-site as assigned.
  • Uphold strict alignment with quality and management frameworks, including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety protocols, instantly reporting safety violations, near-misses, or hazardous conditions.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Technical qualification MQF Level 4 in a relevant discipline.
  • Active Wireman A & B Licenses.
  • Proven technical track record in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent diagnostic abilities with a methodical approach to fault-finding.
  • Proficient computer skills for documentation and inventory tracking.
  • Strong dedication to workplace safety, operational standards, and ongoing efficiency.
