We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician for both plant, facility, and production to join our team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the electrical upkeep, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of our production facility equipment and workshop systems. You will work closely alongside our Maintenance Mechanic to ensure optimal plant uptime, machinery efficiency, and strict adherence to workplace safety standards.
Duties and responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and electrical/mechanical repairs on workshop floor, and facilities.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and service electrical control systems, power distribution, and automated machinery components.
- Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Mechanic on mechanical repairs, including work on gearboxes, drive systems, bearings, and basic structural welding.
- Diagnose operational equipment failures quickly to implement corrective actions and minimize production downtime.
- Keep accurate daily maintenance logs, job records, and equipment service histories using basic reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities for machinery upgrades, process modifications, and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
- Stronger electrical knowledge, supported by hands-on troubleshooting experience.
- Electrical Authorization License A and B (or equivalent proven electrical experience) is required.
- Technical Diploma from MCAST or an equivalent technical institution.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office for preparing technical reports and tracking stock.
- Valid work permit enabling employment in Malta.
- Possession of a driving license / valid international license is an asset
- Fluency in the English language: verbal and written.
