A leading building services contractor is expanding their on-site team across multiple technical trades. We are seeking qualified Technicians specialising in EITHER Mechanical, Electrical, OR HVAC installations.
Note: Candidates are not expected to possess expertise in all three disciplines. We are looking for candidates with specialisation in one of the trades.
This role focuses on the post-construction installation phase, where core structural work is complete and building services are being integrated across commercial, industrial, or large-scale residential projects.
The main duties for each specialisation:
Electrical Technician
- Install cable containment (tray, ladder, trunking, conduit).
- Pull, gland, terminate, and dress LV power cables, distribution boards, and control panels.
- Install lighting systems, emergency controls, and building management wiring.
HVAC Technician
- Install ductwork, dampers, air handling units (AHUs), and fan coil units (FCUs).
- Run and connect VRF/VRV systems, chillers, and refrigerant pipework (F-Gas).
- Perform leak testing, pressure checks, and support air balancing procedures.
Mechanical Technician
- Fit plant room equipment, industrial pumps, heat exchangers, and boiler systems.
- Install domestic water supply, drainage runs, and chilled/hot water pipework (crimp, threaded, or welded).
- Carry out system pressure testing, flushing, and valve installation.
General On-Site Responsibilities
- Read and execute installations directly from technical MEP drawings, circuit diagrams, and schematics.
- Conduct pre-commissioning checks within your specialist discipline.
- Coordinate with site management and parallel trades to ensure efficient installation sequencing.
- Strictly adhere to site safety protocols, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements (RAMS).
What We're Looking For:
- Trade Expertise: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience on-site in one of the following single disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC.
- Trade Qualifications:
- Electrical: Recognised Electrical Certificate / Wireman’s License (e.g., License A/B or equivalent).
- HVAC: Recognised HVAC/Refrigeration qualification; F-Gas certification is a major advantage.
- Mechanical: Recognised Plumbing/Pipefitting/Mechanical trade certification.
- Skills: Ability to read trade drawings independently and operate trade-specific hand/power tools.
- Able to read and write in English, whilst fluency in Maltese and Italian is a big plus
- Must be curious to learn, grow and take initiative
