Our client is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring machinery operates efficiently to minimise downtime.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing machinery and equipment;
- Diagnose mechanical faults swiftly and execute effective repairs to minimise production downtime;
- Assemble, install, and test new mechanical components and systems in accordance with technical specifications;
- Conduct regular safety inspections and adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations;
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory within the internal system;
- Collaborate closely with production to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
Requirements
- Proficient in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of Maltese is considered an asset;
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills;
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and pneumatic systems;
- Applicants should be available to work in Malta and eligible to work.
Education and experience
- Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Maintenance or a related field;
- Previous experience as a mechanical technician in a manufacturing setting
