We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Vehicle Mechanic to join our client's growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with strong diagnostic and repair skills who is looking to work in a professional and supportive environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy;
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment;
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil and filter changes, fluid replacements, brake servicing, and other preventative maintenance tasks;
- Repair or replace defective components in line with manufacturer standards and workshop procedures;
- Liaise with customers to understand vehicle concerns, explain findings, and provide practical maintenance recommendations;
- Prepare repair estimates and communicate expected completion times where required;
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and quality standards;
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and service work completed;
- Operate workshop tools and equipment safely, ensuring they are properly maintained;
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the workshop.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles;
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools;
- Ability to use hand tools and heavy equipment;
Education and experience
- Previous experience as an auto mechanic is required;
