Our client is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and support the day-to-day maintenance requirements. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys being directly involved in general hotel and building repairs, ensuring facilities run smoothly, and taking ownership of operational upkeep and safety-related issues.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Carry out hands-on general electrical, plumbing, basic carpentry, and mechanical repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and facilities.
- Conduct routine fault finding and preventive maintenance to keep hotel equipment and infrastructure in optimal condition.
- Prioritise daily maintenance issues and respond promptly to urgent operational and safety-related requests.
- Coordinate the internal maintenance team and delegate daily tasks based on operational priorities.
- Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance, preventive schedules, and equipment service logs.
- Ensure all works comply with general health, safety, and operational standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Practical, hands-on experience in general hotel or building maintenance. Previous experience within hotel maintenance is considered an asset.
- Capability to carry out physical maintenance works personally rather than solely supervising others.
- Solid practical skills in general electrical, plumbing, fault finding, and overall facility upkeep.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise urgent operational and safety issues effectively.
- Fluency in English is a must and Maltese is an asset.
