Our client who has Hotels, cafes, and restaurants across Malta is looking for their Maintenance supervisor. If you experience and fits in all the requirements and responsibilities then this might be for you.
Duties and responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Direct and guide the day-to-day work of maintenance personnel across all company properties.
- Design and manage routine preventative maintenance plans to keep mechanical, electrical, plumbing, climate control, and structural systems operating at peak performance.
- Delegate and manage incoming work requests, urgent fixes, and facility enhancements to ensure prompt turnarounds.
- Perform thorough walkthroughs across all locations to identify repair needs, evaluate hazards, and spot potential upgrades.
- Diagnose complex issues and provide hands-on technical direction to assist the team with troubleshooting.
- Evaluate the craftsmanship of completed tasks, whether handled by internal staff or outside contractors.
- Enforce adherence to safety codes, health standards, and internal quality policies across all upkeep work.
- Keep meticulous logs tracking scheduled servicing, repairs, property reviews, and machinery histories.
- Partner closely with site managers to keep property downtime low and preserve top-tier guest experiences.
- Help manage maintenance expenditures, order supplies, and track spare parts inventory.
- Take on extra operational tasks and special projects as needed by the management team.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated track record leading a maintenance team, ideally within hotel operations or multi-property setups.
- In-depth practical knowledge across MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), HVAC, and general building care.
- Strong leadership capacity, organizational talent, and analytical problem-solving skills. Skill in prioritizing competing tasks and managing shifting demands efficiently.
- Wireman License A and B certification is advantageous.
- Active driving license (preferred).
- Clean police conduct record.
- Strong communication skills combined with a proactive, collaborative work style.
- Adaptability to work non-standard hours or handle off-peak shifts when operational demands dictate.
