Maintenance Manager

Our client is looking to hire a Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for a small group of boutique hotels. Reporting to the GM you will have a team of people reporting to you. 

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth and efficient execution of all maintenance activities.
• ⁠Allocate tasks and adjust schedules according to operational priorities, while promoting effective working practices.
• ⁠Plan and coordinate both in-house and outsourced maintenance works, ensuring timely completion and proper execution.
• ⁠Develop, implement, and manage a preventive maintenance programme aimed at minimising equipment and operational downtime.
• ⁠Monitor daily maintenance system records against completed jobs to assess team productivity and performance.
• ⁠Investigate maintenance issues directly and recommend appropriate solutions in consultation with management.
• ⁠Provide hands-on support and technical assistance to maintenance technicians when required.
• ⁠Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify faults, maintenance requirements, and potential issues.
• Oversee the inspection and upkeep of building systems, including HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• ⁠Supervise contractors and external tradespeople during installations, repairs, and maintenance works.
• ⁠Support the preparation and management of the maintenance budget.
• ⁠Monitor stock levels and ensure the availability of necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
• ⁠Review and approve purchase orders and invoices relating to maintenance materials and services.
• ⁠Ensure outsourced works and procurement activities provide good value for money while meeting required quality standards.
• ⁠Ensure compliance with company quality standards, health and safety requirements, and relevant regulations.
• ⁠Recruit, train, manage, and supervise maintenance technicians.
• ⁠Support the planning and execution of maintenance-related projects, including renovations and upgrades.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, increase efficiency, and reduce operational costs

Requirement & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar maintenance management role, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Higher Technical Diploma (HTD) or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline.
• ⁠Electrical Licence A or B would be considered an asset.
• ⁠Good knowledge of modern HVAC and ELV systems.
• ⁠Highly motivated, practical, and solutions-oriented, with a hands-on approach to work.
