Our client within the hospitality industry is currently seeking a skilled and hands-on General Maintenance Technician to join their maintenance team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Carry out general maintenance and repair works across the hotel's facilities as required;
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests;
- Perform planned preventive maintenance to ensure the safe and reliable operation of building systems and equipment;
- Diagnose and complete basic repairs involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, fixtures, fittings, and general building maintenance;
- Work closely with the Maintenance team and other departments to ensure the smooth running of daily operations;
- Maintain accurate records of completed work;
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards;
- Provide support during emergency maintenance situations when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technician role within a hotel or similar hospitality setting is preferred;
- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance procedures;
- Ability to work within a team or independently;
- Professional proficiency in English, both verbal and written;
- Physically able to perform tasks such as lifting and working at heights;
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekend and public holidays;
- Currently already residing in Malta with a valid work permit.
