We are currently looking for a Spray Painter to join a leading client within the automotive industry.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare accident-damaged vehicles and vehicle panels for the painting process;
- Clean, sand, smooth, and prime surfaces to ensure an excellent paint finish;
- Remove rust, old paint, and other surface imperfections using appropriate tools and techniques;
- Mask off surrounding areas to protect surfaces that are not being painted;
- Mix and match paint colours to achieve an accurate finish in line with manufacturer specifications;
- Operate spray-painting equipment and colour-matching systems to apply coatings evenly and professionally;
- Select the appropriate materials, spray guns, and nozzles for each repair;
- Inspect completed paintwork, carry out any necessary touch-ups, and ensure quality standards are met before vehicle release;
- Clean and maintain spray-painting equipment and work areas after use;
- Stay informed of new painting techniques, materials, and industry best practices;
- Follow all health and safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organised workspace;
- Assist with any additional duties as required by the workshop management team.
Requirements
- Knowledge of paint mixing and spraying techniques;
- Excellent English communication skills;
- Candidates must be already located in Malta with a valid work permit.
Education and experience
- Previous experience as a Auto Spray Painter is required
