Our client, a small company, is looking for a candidate with a passion for mathematics to become a Quantitative Trading Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software supporting the company’s trading and business systems
- Monitor automated execution of the systematic futures portfolio throughout the trading day
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of input data used in trading systems
- Monitor broker connections and resolve any connectivity issues
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of trades
- Verify that reports to external stakeholders are accurate and delivered on time
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in live trading systems
- Enhance execution algorithms for improved trading performance
- Research and implement new trading strategies
- Improve system monitoring tools and business processes
- Receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced firm principals
Requirements
- Strong interest in learning programming skills with experience building moderately complex applications
- Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, and Git (preferred)
- Strong mathematical background aligned with scientific and quantitative methods
- Located in Malta with a degree from local schools.
