Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing industry, is looking for a Chemist to join their team. Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Conduct analytical testing and investigations related to product quality and performance.
- Manage sampling, testing, verification, and performance trend analysis.
- Perform root-cause analysis on product failures, rejects, and customer complaints.
- Support troubleshooting of electrochemical and production-related issues in collaboration with manufacturing teams.
- Assist with the development and assembly of product prototypes, including sourcing of required materials.
- Evaluate prototype performance and support testing activities in collaboration with R&D teams.
- Ensure products are designed for efficient and scalable manufacturing.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support product approval, validation, and release documentation.
- Assist in the implementation and management of controlled product and process changes.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, REACH, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain laboratory procedures, SOPs, and process guidelines.
- Establish and manage laboratory resources to support analytical and testing needs.
- Oversee laboratory operations and ensure proper maintenance and functionality of equipment.
- Collaborate with technical and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Education and experience
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is an asset.
