Our client is a renowned company in Malta. They would like to employ a Sales Manager to take care of their HORECA section, responsible for leading a sales team and driving commercial growth within the hospitality and foodservice sector. The role combines people management, business development, customer relationship management and strategic sales planning.
The Role
- You will be responsible for increasing sales, profitability and brand visibility across the relevant product portfolio. You will develop and implement the HORECA sales strategy, identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- A major part of the role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with hotels, restaurants, caterers and hospitality groups. You will also negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, promotions and product listings with customers and key accounts.
- The role requires close coordination with distribution and other internal departments to ensure product availability, efficient processes and strong customer service. Collaboration will also be required with areas such as Marketing, Procurement and Credit Control to maximise commercial performance.
- You will lead, motivate and develop a team of sales representatives. They will establish sales targets and KPIs, monitor performance and take action to improve results. Strong leadership and the ability to develop a high-performing sales team are therefore important.
- You will have a commercial and analytical mindset. You will analyse sales data, identify opportunities for growth and develop strategic plans that support business and brand objectives. Strong negotiation, key account management and business-development skills are expected.
Requirements
- You should have proven experience in HORECA, foodservice or FMCG sales
- Preferably have knowledge of the Maltese hospitality market and an established network of HORECA customers.
- Strong communication, presentation and leadership skills are required, while a relevant university degree is an advantage.
- A Maltese driving licence and fluency in English and Maltese are also required.
