Medical Representative (Outdoor sales)

Our client within the Pharmaceutical industry, is looking to recruit a Medical Representative to join their growing team. The chosen candidate will:

  • Promote and sell the company's products to healthcare professionals in a designated territory.
  • Achieve sales targets and expand market share for the company.
  • Plan and execute strategies to increase product awareness among healthcare providers.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and hospital staff.
  • Provide information and guidance about new products and their benefits.
  • Address queries and concerns regarding product usage and potential side effects.
  • Organize and attend meetings, conferences, and training sessions to stay updated on product developments.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on the proper use, benefits, and side effects of products.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, client interactions, and territory activities.
  • Submit timely reports on sales performance and market feedback to management.
  • Monitor and report competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Provide actionable insights to the marketing team to improve strategies.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a large territory.
  • Strong ethical standards and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Adaptability to new products, markets, and customer needs.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related fields is given preference. Qualified Pharmacists/Doctors will be given preference.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets, build relationships, and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English to interact with diverse healthcare professionals.
  • Proven familiarity with medical terms, healthcare systems, and the pharmaceutical industry is a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
