Quality & Compliance Manager

Central Malta, Malta
Up to €45,000 Annually Full Time Experienced (3 years +) On Premises Closing in 12 days

A rapidly growing private Further and Higher Education institution in Malta is seeking a meticulous Quality & Compliance Manager

This is an operational, audit-driven role focused on Quality Assurance implementation rather than legal drafting. The institution already has an established suite of policies in place.

The successful candidate will monitor compliance, guide internal teams through external regulatory frameworks, and spearhead upcoming global institutional audit cycles. This position offers a direct, structured career pathway to Director of Quality and Compliance.

The Main Responsibilities include:

  • Audit & Certification Management: Lead and coordinate upcoming institutional audits, managing the collection, verification, and timely submission of compliance data.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for local and international educational regulators, accreditation partners, and awarding bodies (including MFHEA and regional frameworks).
  • Policy & Compliance Monitoring: Oversee the cyclical review and daily enforcement of existing institutional policies, ensuring all internal operational processes align perfectly with regulatory obligations.
  • Team Leadership & Committee Coordination: Lead cross-departmental teams through audit readiness, chair/coordinate discussions within the internal Quality Assurance Committee, and present critical compliance updates to the Board.
  • Risk & Records Management: Ensure academic assessment specifications, sampling strategies, and student documentation strictly adhere to stipulated external standards.
  • Internationalisation Support: Coordinate compliance processes and multi-jurisdictional standards for international programmes and regional training hubs.

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM

Requirements

  • Strong capacity to interpret rigorous regulatory instruments and translate them into day-to-day procedures.
  • Natural ability to lead discussions, hold departments accountable to standards, and guide teams calmly through external audit environments.
  • Meticulous eye for detail with a process-driven, analytical mindset.

Benefits

  • The institution provides a dedicated qualification allowance to support ongoing training, professional development, and external accreditations.
  • Promotion to the Director-level position is clearly mapped out and will be triggered upon the independent, successful completion of a full institutional audit cycle.

Education and experience

  • A qualification in Quality Management, Compliance, Governance, Risk Management, or a closely related operational discipline will be considered an asset. However, candidates with substantial relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven experience within a dedicated compliance, quality assurance, or audit function.
  • xperience in highly regulated sectors is essential. While a higher education background is advantageous, professionals coming from other deeply audited environments who possess strong QA skills are highly encouraged to apply.
