Our client, a leading company within the manufacturing industry, is looking for a Compliance Officer to join their team. Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Champion, implement, and maintain the organisation’s ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System to guarantee regulatory compliance and ongoing certification.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead internal and external audits to ensure continuous audit readiness across all departments.
- Conduct comprehensive workplace risk assessments and oversee the implementation of effective hazard control measures.
- Manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program to address non-conformances swiftly and effectively.
- Supervise document control systems to ensure operational procedures and compliance records remain accurate and up to date.
- Foster an organisational culture of safety by driving ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead the initiation, development, and implementation of the company’s formal Environmental Compliance program.
- Oversee and optimise safe operational procedures for the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste.
- Spearhead gap analyses and preparatory workflows to position the organisation for future ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certification.
Requirements
- Excellent level of English is a must; Maltese is preferred.
- Must already be based in Malta with local experience.
Education and experience
- Previous experience in a similar role is a must.
