Our client is looking to recruit a Project Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Directors, the chosen candidate will:
Project Management & Delivery
- Manage multiple construction projects from inception to handover.
- Develop and monitor project programmes, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate site activities and monitor construction progress.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare regular progress reports and provide updates to senior management.
- Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and schedules.
Design & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Review drawings, technical submissions, and construction documentation.
- Manage design changes, technical queries, and value engineering initiatives.
- Resolve design and construction-related issues efficiently.
Procurement & Contract Management
- Prepare procurement schedules and manage supplier/subcontractor selection.
- Review quotations, tender submissions, and Bills of Quantities.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support contract administration.
- Monitor contractor performance, variations, and payment applications.
Cost & Financial Control
- Monitor project budgets, expenditure, and cash flow forecasts.
- Review costs, identify variances, and implement cost-control measures.
- Verify contractor and supplier invoices prior to approval.
- Maintain accurate financial and project control records.
Construction, Quality & Compliance
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship.
- Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections, snagging, and final handover processes.
- Monitor contractor compliance with health and safety requirements.
Authority & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with relevant authorities, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Coordinate permits, approvals, inspections, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication between all project stakeholders.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain project schedules, procurement trackers, risk registers, and cost reports.
- Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, and management updates.
- Ensure proper project documentation and filing systems are maintained.

Education and experience
- Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field.
- Project Management qualification (preferred).
- Experience in residential & Commercial developments is a must.
- Knowledge of Maltese construction regulations and permitting processes.
