Our client, operating within the production industry, is seeking a Production Costings and Planning Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing production costs, supporting production planning, and providing accurate reporting to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
Working closely with the Production, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, and Logistics teams, the role will focus on monitoring manufacturing performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring effective planning to meet customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs by preparing and maintaining accurate standard and product costings.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis between actual, budgeted, and forecasted results, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Analyse sales performance, trends, volumes, revenue, and profitability by product, SKU, customer, and distributor to identify key performance drivers and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts relating to costs, production intake, and sales.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales, Logistics, and Production teams to ensure alignment between forecasts and operational performance.
- Prepare regular management reports and maintain effective communication with the Operations Manager and senior management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in production costing, manufacturing, production planning, or a similar analytical role.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers, ideally within the food production industry.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience within a food manufacturing or dairy production environment will be considered an asset.
