We are seeking an outcomes-driven Delivery Manager to own the flow of software delivery from initial request through to a clean, shipped release. Reporting directly to the COO, this role focuses on controlling the delivery pipeline, optimizing development flow, and protecting release dates across both enterprise client solutions and core product development.
This is a hands-on, metrics-focused role where you will manage the system—not the people. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software is delivered quickly, correctly, and on promise.
Key Responsibilities
- Intake Gate & Prioritisation: Manage a single, prioritized entry queue for all client and product requests; define clear dates and criteria before work reaches developers.
- Ticket Readiness & Quality: Ensure tickets are fully defined, complete, and testable. Establish feedback loops with Engineering Heads to raise developer-level quality and reduce code-review rejections.
- Flow & Cadence: Cap Work-in-Progress (WIP), manage staging/QA queues, eliminate unnecessary hand-off delays, and maintain a regular release cadence.
- Delivery & Tracked ETAs: Assign committed launch dates to deliverables, track progress continuously, and proactively address delays.
- Daily Rhythm & Blockers: Lead daily working meetings, keep detailed action records, and clear delivery blockers on the same day.
- Reporting: Maintain a clear weekly scoreboard tracking lead times, flow efficiency, defect rates, and delivery accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven track record in delivery management or delivery operations within a Software, SaaS, or Fintech environment (experience in Payments is highly preferred)
- Deep knowledge of Kanban, WIP management, delivery metrics, and fluency in Jira
- Strong background in root-cause analysis, defect reduction, and improving developer-level quality before formal QA gates
- Excellent hands-on communicator able to push and guide cross-functional technical teams without direct line management
- Able to create and maintain concise, data-backed performance reports
