Our client is looking to recruit a Production Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the General Manager, the chosen candidate will:
Operational Leadership & Project Execution
- Direct and manage all aircraft painting and surface refinishing activities to meet client delivery commitments, operational milestones, and safety targets.
- Conduct daily production and shift meetings to monitor project timelines, identify bottlenecks, and allocate labour efficiently.
- Ensure all painting projects are planned, scheduled, and completed in strict accordance with approved work scopes, financial budgets, and customer specifications.
- Establish and maintain exceptional standards of hangar organization, housekeeping, and operational readiness.
Quality & Aviation Regulatory Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to company procedures, EASA/FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and customer quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with Quality and Engineering teams to investigate non-conformances, implement root-cause corrective actions, and promote a "right-first-time" culture.
- Establish and maintain safe systems of work, conducting regular risk assessments in compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Fire Safety legislation.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and environmental agencies to maintain required permits and operational compliance.
People Management & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate hangar supervisors and production technicians, fostering a transparent, safety-focused, and accountable workplace culture
- Manage workforce planning, shift rosters, attendance, leave schedules, and performance evaluations.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing technical talent, establishing clear skill development and training pathways.
- Manage employee relations in alignment with statutory requirements, company policies, and collective agreements.
Stakeholder Management & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with Sales, Commercial, Materials/Procurement, HR, and Finance teams to ensure seamless project lifecycle execution and accurate resource planning.
- Act as a primary operational contact for client representatives, resolving technical or operational queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Drive Lean operations and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging operational KPIs and performance data to optimize workflow, reduce turnaround times (TAT), and eliminate waste.
Working hours: 4 days on - 4 days off basis

Education and experience
- Proven experience leading production teams within a manufacturing or industrial environment is a must
- Project Management experience is a must
- Experience within the aviation, aerospace, aircraft painting or MRO industry will be given preference
- Third-level qualification in Production Management, Operations Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
