Our client is looking to recruit an Compliance & Operations Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the chosen candidate will:
Operational Security Management
- Oversee the continuous, day-to-day delivery of security services across the main complex and associated facility sites.
- Ensure all guarding posts within key sectors, sensitive departments, construction project zones, and designated perimeter locations are fully manned and actively supervised.
- Monitor personnel deployment to ensure maximum operational effectiveness and optimal resource utilization.
- Maintain high visibility across all sectors, focusing particularly on high-risk, high-traffic, and critical infrastructure areas.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve operational issues promptly, ensuring seamless operational continuity during unexpected absences, disruptions, or emergency incidents.
Supervision & Performance Standards
- Supervise and monitor the daily operational performance and leadership output of Security Supervisors and Senior Officers.
- Assess staff conduct against established operational standards, enforcing discipline, accountability, and a customer-focused service culture.
- Ensure Supervisors are actively managing their assigned zones and addressing staff shortcomings without delay.
- Identify recurring performance gaps and implement targeted corrective action plans.
Inspections, Patrols & Operational Compliance
- Conduct rigorous scheduled and unannounced site inspections across all locations.
- Verify that required patrols, rounds, and physical security checks are conducted accurately at the mandated frequencies.
- Enforce strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), site post instructions, and security protocols.
- Perform regular operational audits to identify security vulnerabilities, ensuring documented deficiencies are systematically corrected.
Incident Management, Investigations & Emergency Response
- Lead and coordinate objective, thorough, and timely investigations into security breaches, incidents, and operational concerns.
- Gather evidence, review documentation, and prepare comprehensive incident reports with clear findings and preventative recommendations.
- Coordinate the real-time operational response to active security threats, emergencies, and specialized contingency scenarios (e.g., lift evacuations, lockdown protocols).
- Organize and lead operational drills and training exercises to ensure all Supervisors and Officers understand their emergency roles.
Physical Security & Asset Protection
- Oversee the physical protection of site assets, operational facilities, access-control points, and perimeter boundaries.
- Identify structural or procedural security vulnerabilities and recommend practical measures to minimize risk exposure.
- Monitor compliance with visitor access policies, contractor protocols, and restricted area controls.
Reporting, Documentation & Stakeholder Management
- Review daily shift logs and security reports, ensuring reported matters are actively followed through to resolution rather than simply recorded.
- Monitor the quality and completeness of shift handover documentation and operational registers.
- Liaise closely with client security management and key site representatives regarding service requirements, operational updates, and feedback.
- Represent the security department professionally during meetings, joint reviews, and operational discussions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead, command, and motivate large, multi-tiered security teams across complex, 24/7 operational shifts.
Education and experience
- Proven experience in a senior supervisory or managerial security role, ideally within high-density public facilities, large-scale complexes, or critical infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of security operations, incident investigation techniques, physical access control systems, and emergency response frameworks.
