We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the strategic growth, positioning, and revenue performance of a luxury hospitality property. The role will oversee Sales, Marketing, PR, and business development across Rooms, Dining, Events, and key revenue streams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong luxury hospitality background, proven sales leadership experience, and the ability to develop strategies, inspire teams, and deliver ambitious business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement overall Sales & Marketing strategies aligned with the hotel’s vision, revenue goals, and market positioning.
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor the annual Sales & Marketing budget, including monthly forecasts and financial reporting to the Director of Finance.
  • Analyze performance results, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to achieve targets and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Set, monitor, and evaluate team and individual objectives, KPIs, and performance goals.
  • Coordinate Sales, Marketing, PR, and related sub-departments to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and business opportunities to identify new revenue streams and growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior leadership (GM, Director of Revenue, Director of Finance, etc.) to support strategic business decisions and achieve revenue objectives.
  • Manage departmental expenditure, improve productivity through new procedures, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams through communication, coaching, training, and performance reviews.
  • Oversee Sales strategies across market segments, support key account development, sales activities, negotiations, events, and business generation opportunities.
  • Ensure Sales teams have the necessary tools, systems, data, and support to achieve targets while monitoring results and improvement areas.
  • Develop and execute Marketing Action Plans, maintain brand standards, manage collateral, partnerships, campaigns, and creative initiatives.
  • Develop and manage PR strategies, media relationships, press opportunities, journalist visits, and initiatives to increase hotel visibility.
  • Maintain strong operational oversight through regular meetings, action plans, reports, revenue strategy discussions, and performance reviews.
  • Manage database growth, partnerships, agencies, and external relationships to support ongoing sales, marketing, and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of local experience in a senior role within Sales and Marketing within Hospitality
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience in managing multiple departments/teams
  • Knowledge of MS Office and hotel systems such as Opera PMS/S&C
  • A strategic thinker and an effective team player
  • Able to travel
