Chief Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Chief Accountant to join a luxury Resort & Spa in the Paphos area. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong experience in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with and act as the main point of contact for external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate audit completion.
• Ensure full compliance with accounting standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Provide financial insights, analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
• High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
• Solid knowledge of hotel accounting systems and financial reporting practices.

Education and Experience

• BSc in Accounting / Finance or related field
• ACCA or ACA qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hotel or resort industry
