Senior Legal Counsel

Our client is seeking a full time experience lawyer to join their fast growing team as a Senior Legal Counsel. 

Duties included:

• Develop and implement the legal strategy aligned with the firm's business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Provide proactive legal advice and support to senior management and other business units
• Oversee and manage all aspects of the firm's operations, including transactional, deal and contract matters, as well as liaise with the MLRO and risk Officer
• Offer specialized legal counel and insights tailored to the yachting, aviation and supercar industry
• Provide advice on complex legal issues related to transactions, regulatory matters and industry specific challenges
• Draft, negotiate, and review transactional documents and complex commercial agreements 
• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliances and strategic advantage for clients 
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients providing high level legal support while maintaining strong relationships. 
• Ensure the firm's operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Implement robust corporate governance frameworks and practices 
• Collaborate in managing the legal budget, and prepare and present legal reports to senior management. 
• Mitigate legal risks and liabilities effectively

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in luxury assets space, in particular yachting, business aviation, & supercars industries
• Minimum 5 years experience in PQE in corporate or commercial law
• Extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing transactional documents and complex commercial agreements

• Degree in Law (or equivalent), Member of the Maltese Bar or relevant jurisdiction
