We are working with one of Malta’s leading law firms who are seeking to recruit a motivated and driven Lawyer to join their Investment Services & Funds team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of local and international clients and develop their expertise across investment services, investment funds and financial services regulation.
The role is suitable for warranted lawyers as well as newly graduated lawyers who are looking to build a career in investment services, investment funds, financial services regulation, digital assets regulation and related areas of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise local and international clients on a broad range of investment services, investment funds and financial services regulatory matters.
- Provide legal and regulatory support to fund promoters, fund managers, investment firms, payment service providers, electronic money institutions, fund administrators and custodians.
- Assist with fund structuring, establishment and ongoing regulatory requirements.
- Support clients with licensing, authorisation and regulatory approval processes, including liaison with relevant regulatory authorities.
- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of legal, corporate and regulatory documentation.
- Provide ongoing legal and regulatory advice to clients on compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with transactional matters and provide legal support on investment services and financial services projects.
- Keep up to date with developments in financial services, investment funds, digital assets and related regulatory frameworks.
- Work closely with colleagues and other professional advisers to deliver commercially focused solutions to clients.
- Manage multiple assignments efficiently while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of work.
Requirements
- Warranted Maltese Lawyer
- Fluent in Maltese and English, both written and spoken
- Comfortable working with a portfolio of clients
