Our client, an affiliate marketing company (working within iGaming, finance and tech industries), is seeking to recruit an In House Legal Counsel to work alongside the Head of Legal.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate employment, consultancy, and service contracts across the Group.
- Review operator terms, insertion orders, and affiliate or referral agreements.
- Prepare internal loans and intercompany service contracts using set templates.
- Handle daily corporate governance, filings, and housekeeping for multiple group companies.
- Research and build standard legal templates, policies, and frameworks for the business.
- Follow set templates and agreed legal positions consistently, flagging exceptions to the Head of Legal.
- Manage official submissions and liaise directly with Maltese authorities.
- Handle all day-to-day, non-litigious legal matters for the group.
Specialist experience in GDPR/data protection, IP, employment law (including tribunal experience), complex corporate secretarial work, or tax will be considered as an added bonus for a candidate who is primarily a strong corporate and commercial generalist.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years working experience in CSPs or Law Firms
- Strong knowledge of commercial and contract law, corporate governance and employment law
- Possess excellent drafting and research skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of the German language will be considered an asset
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Meticulous with a key eye for detail
