Our client, an International Insurance Company is looking to recruit a Compliance Monitoring Manager to join their team.
Main responsibilities :
Develop and maintain an effective compliance monitoring framework aligned with regulatory obligations and business objectives.
Prepare and manage the annual compliance monitoring plan, including obtaining the necessary approvals.
Act as part of the second line of defence across the UK and European operations, providing compliance oversight and guidance to the Specialty and Warranty & Consumer business areas.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the UK and Europe to enhance awareness and understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations.
Monitor adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring that any non-compliance issues are identified and addressed promptly.
Conduct risk-based compliance reviews, focusing on areas of heightened regulatory exposure through structured assessments and analysis.
Lead thematic reviews covering key regulatory topics across the Specialty and Warranty & Consumer divisions.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records to evidence compliance monitoring activities and fulfil internal and regulatory requirements.
Support the business in resolving findings arising from compliance reviews and oversee remediation activities through to completion.
Assist senior compliance leadership in evaluating and strengthening the compliance control framework.
Produce meaningful management information and reporting for stakeholders, governance forums, and committees as required.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a compliance monitoring role within the insurance industry.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across UK and European business functions, as well as the wider compliance team.
Good understanding of the insurance market, including consumer products.
Education and Experience
Relevant professional qualification in compliance, insurance, or law.
Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
