Our client is a reputable, upcoming company. They require an HR Manager who will lead end to end human resources operations for a medium to large workforce in a high volume retail environment. Reporting directly to the CEO and CFO, this role requires a practical, self starting leader who seamlessly balances board level workforce strategy with hands on operational execution across recruitment, payroll, employee relations, CSR, and corporate culture.
The Role
● Partner with the CEO and CFO to align HR strategy, labor models, and talent acquisition with commercial goals and operating budgets.
● Design and execute high volume retail recruitment strategies to maintain optimal store staffing. Personally lead recruitment and selection for middle to senior management roles.
● Supervise end to end payroll processing to guarantee precise, compliant, and timely disbursements. Oversee benefits administration, compensation structuring, and statutory reporting.
● Act as the final point of escalation for workplace grievances, conflict resolution, performance management, and labor law compliance across retail locations and central offices.
● Own and deliver key HR initiatives such as performance management frameworks, policy development, and retention schemes providing clear progress updates to executive leadership.
● Lead and expand company wide Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, managing charitable partnerships, community outreach, and sustainability programs aligned with core brand values.
● Conceptualize, plan, and execute internal events, team building activities, and staff engagement programs to build a cohesive corporate culture.
Experience & Qualifications
● 5+ years of progressive HR management experience, ideally within retail, hospitality, or fast paced consumer facing sectors.
● Proven track record of handling complex labor relations and legal compliance with discretion, empathy, and professional firmness.
● A practical "doer" comfortable moving between high level strategic planning and direct operational execution.
● Strong self starter who anticipates organizational needs, takes full accountability for outcomes, and delivers against tight deadlines.
● Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence at the board level while maintaining strong rapport with frontline teams.
● Preferably have a related qualification
