As a Human Resources Clerk, you will join a dedicated HR team supporting the Group's core personnel functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, leave administration, records management, and corporate events. This position demands a meticulous, self-motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and can consistently meet strict deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Foster supportive relationships with both staff and management, acting as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries.
- Drive daily HR administrative operations, ensuring the seamless execution of routine tasks and maintaining accurate data within the company’s HR information system.
- Oversee the collection and organization of essential employee paperwork, prepare employment contracts, and facilitate the onboarding of new hires.
- Help review and refresh HR policies, standard operating procedures, and internal manuals.
- Contribute to the creation and rollout of effective internal communications.
- Track and enforce compliance with established HR protocols across the organization.
- Manage and monitor sick leave reporting systems.
- Support the full recruitment lifecycle by drafting job postings for internal and external channels, coordinating with external recruitment agencies, and participating in candidate interviews.
- Partner with the HR Manager to navigate employee relations issues and assist with disciplinary proceedings when necessary.
- Champion initiatives that cultivate a positive workplace culture and boost employee engagement and morale.
- Actively participate in organizing corporate events and support various HR-driven company projects.
- Conduct routine audits of personnel files to guarantee that the database remains current and precise.
- Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as required to support the HR department.
Experience and Requirements
- At least 1 year of proven experience in a comparable HR administrative role.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all organizational levels.
- A proactive, practical, and hands-on approach to daily tasks and problem-solving.
- Full professional proficiency in both written and spoken English and Maltese.
- Strong digital literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite and standard IT applications.
- Familiarity with Maltese employment legislation and formal HR qualifications are highly advantageous.
