We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation for an experienced Head of HR to lead its Human Resources function.
This is a strategic and operational role, ideal for a people-focused HR professional with strong expertise in Industrial Relations, employment law, and employee engagement. You will work closely with senior management to shape HR strategy, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the HR function, providing strategic and operational support across the employee lifecycle.
- Manage industrial relations, including union engagement, negotiations, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Drive recruitment, workforce planning, and talent acquisition initiatives.
- Partner with managers to provide expert guidance on employment legislation and people management.
- Oversee performance management, employee development, and engagement initiatives.
- Manage HR budgets, reporting, and key people metrics.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and support continuous improvement across HR processes.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years' HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within a unionised or industrial relations environment.
- Strong knowledge of Maltese employment legislation, Industrial Relations, and collective agreements.
- Proven experience managing disciplinary cases, grievances, and employee relations matters.
- Experience leading recruitment and workforce planning activities.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, industrial, or similar operational environments will be considered an asset.
