Business Training Executive

Our client is looking to onboard a Business Training Executive to support the design, development, and delivery of business training initiatives that enhance the knowledge, skills, and commercial effectiveness of the Distribution Network. The role is responsible for coordinating product, regulatory, and sales training programmes to ensure distributors and relevant employees are equipped to deliver high-quality customer outcomes while meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the annual Continuing Professional Development Business Training Programme, including training plans, content, participant registration, scheduling, attendance, and progress monitoring
  • Design, organise, and support induction training programmes for new distributors and relevant employees
  • Support the development and delivery of commercial sales training programmes focused on customer engagement, needs-based selling, product knowledge, and customer-centric practices
  • Coordinate and deliver ad hoc and ongoing training initiatives to address identified business, service, product knowledge, and performance gaps across distribution channels
  • Act as the primary liaison between external training providers and business training participants, ensuring effective coordination and communication
  • Manage ongoing communication with the Distribution Network regarding the Business Training Calendar, ensuring completion of mandatory training requirements in line with Insurance Distribution Directive requirements and the renewal of Tied Insurance Intermediary licenses
  • Maintain accurate training records, monitor completion rates, and prepare training reports as required
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously improve training content, delivery methods, and learning outcomes
  • Provide support to the wider team on business training initiatives and projects as required

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English & Maltese - other languages would be a plus
  • Experience in training, learning and development, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, both in-person and virtual
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative, proactive, and customer-focused approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
