Our Client is seeking an energetic, wine-loving Wine Tasting Host & Estate Assistant to support a leading local winemaker. Reporting directly to the CEO, your primary focus will be delivering engaging wine tastings and pairing experiences, dividing your time between a picturesque boutique vineyard and the operational winery.
What You Will Do
Lead Wine Tastings: Deliver guided tasting sessions across both sites, sharing tasting notes, grape varieties, production methods, and ideal food pairings.
Vineyard & Cellar Tours: Guide guests through the estate vines and production cellar, sharing the complete journey from grape to bottle.
Food & Wine Pairings: Prepare and present fresh artisanal platters, light bites, and simple pasta dishes to accompany guided tastings and small VIP bookings.
Guest Hospitality & Bookings: Welcome visitors warmly, manage tasting reservations, answer guest inquiries, and maintain five-star hospitality standards.
Event Support: Assist with private tasting events, corporate gatherings, and seasonal vineyard showcases alongside the CEO.
Tasting Area Presentation: Ensure tasting rooms, glassware, cellars, and outdoor terraces remain impeccably set up, clean, and organised.
What You Bring
A Genuine Passion for Wine: Personal enthusiasm or working knowledge of wine styles and tasting notes (WSET certifications or prior cellar door experience are a strong asset).
Engaging Host: Confident, charismatic speaking style with a natural ability to connect with wine enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
Hands-On Attitude: Happy to lead a tasting, plate light accompaniments, pour samples, and manage bookings with equal care.
Mobility & Languages: Valid driving licence and own transport to travel between the estate and winery, fluent English is essential.
Flexibility: Willingness to work hospitality hours, including scheduled weekend tastings or occasional private evening events.
