We are looking for an experienced Night Duty Manager to take the lead on hotel operations throughout the night, ensuring guests are well looked after and everything continues to run smoothly behind the scenes.
This is much more than simply overseeing the front desk. You will be the key person on site during the night shift, coordinating across departments, supporting the team and stepping in when decisions need to be made.
It’s a great opportunity for someone with hotel experience who enjoys being hands-on, is confident working independently and knows how to keep things calm and organised, even when the unexpected happens.
What your day-to-day will look like
- Take responsibility for the overall operation of the hotel throughout the night shift, ensuring service and operational standards are maintained.
- Act as the main point of contact for guests, handling requests, concerns and any issues that may arise in a professional and guest-focused manner.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Security, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance to ensure the hotel is running smoothly.
- Support Front Office operations when needed, including late arrivals, departures, room changes, reservations and other guest requirements.
- Complete and oversee the night audit process, including reviewing transactions, balancing accounts and preparing relevant reports.
- Keep an eye on the hotel premises and ensure safety, security and operational procedures are being followed.
- Take the lead during emergencies or unexpected situations, coordinating the appropriate response and involving relevant departments or external authorities where necessary.
- Guide and support the night team, making sure priorities and responsibilities are clear throughout the shift.
- Maintain clear handovers, ensuring anything that happened overnight is properly communicated to the morning team.
- Assist with general administration and operational tasks as required.

- Previous experience within a supervisory or management position in a hotel environment.
- Front Office experience would be considered a strong asset.
- A confident and responsible approach, with the ability to make decisions independently when required.
- Strong English communication and organisational skills, with a practical approach to solving problems.
- The ability to remain calm and professional when handling guest complaints, emergencies or challenging situations.
- A genuinely guest-focused mindset and a strong understanding of good hospitality.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
