Chef de Partie (Morning shift)

We are looking for a reliable and motivated chef to join a well established cafeteria. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving fresh, high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and keeping the kitchen clean and organised throughout the shift.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals including breakfast items, snacks, and lunch options;
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard while maintaining the highest of standards of food hygiene; 
• Minimise food waste through proper portion control and efficient food preparation;
• Ensure all kitchen equipment and workstations are kept clean and well maintained;
• Follow daily preparation schedules to ensure food is ready for service on time;
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a team and also independently;
• Willing to work in a fast paced environment;
• Flexible to work on a roster basis including weekends and public holidays;
• Strong English communication skills are required. Knowledge of Maltese is considered an asset.

Education and experience

• A minimum of 1-2years of local experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is required.
