Reporting to the Head of Operations, the EHS Executive supports the effective implementation of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) practices across the site. The role is responsible for assisting with EHS compliance, site inspections and audits, fire safety and first aid preparedness, waste and environmental management, fleet and equipment compliance, contractor safety, and site security. The EHS Executive also supports training initiatives, maintains accurate records, and contributes to continuous improvement, helping to ensure a safe, compliant, and well-managed workplace for employees, contractors, and visitors.

  • Support the daily implementation and coordination of EHS activities across the site.
  • Assist with compliance in health & safety, environmental, fire safety, first aid, and security requirements in collaboration with external consultants.
  • Participate in inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Support environmental permit compliance and liaise with authorities and consultants when required.
  • Serve as a site contact for EHS matters, working with operations, departments, and external parties.
  • Help maintain fire safety systems, emergency equipment, evacuation routes, and signage.
  • Support first aid readiness, including supplies, trained personnel, and reporting.
  • Assist with emergency drills and preparedness exercises.
  • Monitor the condition and availability of PPE, extinguishers, spill kits, and first aid supplies.
  • Monitor waste segregation, storage, and disposal in line with company and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate waste collection, recycling, contractor liaison, and record keeping.
  • Arrange disposal of obsolete equipment and other waste materials.
  • Support environmental monitoring, data collection, and spill reporting.
  • Promote clean, organised, and safe work areas.
  • Coordinate external housekeeping and grounds maintenance, including vegetation control.
  • Coordinate vehicle licences, insurance, inspections, driver authorisations, and accident reporting.
  • Arrange statutory inspections and certifications for regulated equipment and systems.
  • Support contractor inductions, permit-to-work processes, and compliance monitoring.
  • Assist with CCTV administration, service coordination, and incident investigations when required.
  • Assist with reporting and documenting incidents, near misses, environmental issues, fire events, and security observations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, incidents, training, fire safety checks, first aid logs, and environmental data.
  • Support safety, environmental, fire safety, and security awareness training.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of EHS, housekeeping, and site compliance practices.

Requirements

  • Understanding of health & safety legislation and environmental standards.
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across departments.
  • Ability to follow procedures and escalate issues appropriately.

Education and experience

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or currently studying towards one.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a health and safety support role (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred).
