Our client is looking to find a Clinical/Deputy Pharmacist to join their growing team. The role is dynamic and will require the chosen candidate to be flexible to support in different locations, covering the below:
- Support the Managing Pharmacist in overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy and assume responsibility in their absence.
- Supervise, support, and provide guidance to pharmacy staff to ensure an efficient workflow and high standards of service.
- Accurately dispense and verify prescriptions, provide medication counselling, and offer professional pharmaceutical advice to patients.
- Support the administration of POYC services, including patient registrations, treatment updates, medication reviews, and accurate stock recording.
- Conduct prescription and medication reviews, support medication forecasting, monitor stock availability, and assist in ensuring continuity of patient care.
- Oversee controlled drug management, ensuring deliveries, documentation, and storage comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with inventory management, stock ordering, stock takes, expiry monitoring, reconciliation, and stock optimisation to minimise waste and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy legislation, company policies, professional standards, and audit requirements while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders to support the effective procurement and supply of medications.
- Deliver excellent customer service, respond to customer enquiries, and promote pharmacy services and products.
- Support merchandising activities and ensure consultation rooms and pharmacy facilities remain clean, organised, and appropriately equipped.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and remain up to date with pharmaceutical legislation and best practice.
Education and experience
- Must hold a Pharmacy Degree within Europe
- Must be open to work in different locations covering different duties
- Must be based in Malta
