The Role
- The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is tasked with driving and integrating day to day operations to achieve the Board approved business plan. Beyond execution, the position features a clear career path to top company level.
- The COO interacts regularly with the Board, managing local operations while interfacing with strategic international suppliers and partners. Operating within a hands on, mid sized business model, the role oversees functions including technical service, logistics, customer support, and sales delivery support.
- Key accountabilities center on meeting financial metrics, such as revenue, gross margin, and service profitability, while improving customer experience. The COO must elevate service delivery, maintain SLA compliance, establish standard operating procedures, and foster a disciplined operational cadence through data driven KPIs.
- To maximize operational efficiency, the COO is responsible for unifying cross functional workflows across Sales, Service, Operations, Finance, and IT. This cross alignment aims to reduce friction across critical cycles, including quote to cash, install to support, and service to invoice processes.
- As a people leader, the role focuses on nurturing the internal talent pipeline, building management depth, and reinforcing a high performance culture. Simultaneously, the COO manages operational controls, risk, health and safety, data protection, and supplier compliance to satisfy governance standards.
- Success in the role is evaluated through commercial performance, improved service metrics like response time and first time fix rates, and steady progress along the executive succession pipeline. Additional key benchmarks include effective talent retention, streamlined cross functional workflows, and robust operational governance.
Requirements
- You will require senior operational leadership experience within technology services
- You must possess strong financial acumen, proven change management experience, strategic execution capabilities, and high influencial skills effectively across all organizational levels
- You will focus on organizational structure, working capital optimization, and leading the annual strategy
- You will preferably have tertiary level of education
