Chief Operations Officer (COO- Construction)

Our client is an upcoming construction company. They are building a solid corporate structure and thus creating a new Chief Operations Officer role to compliment the structure. Reporting directly into the Director.

The Role

• Drive operational excellence and scale business operations within a formal corporate framework.
• Direct architectural, engineering, and master planning teams to ensure project feasibility and alignment.
• Oversee strategic vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supply-chain risk management.
• Lead field operations to ensure all construction projects meet tight schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks.
• Build, structure, and manage cross-functional department heads across design, purchasing, and site operations.
• Establish standardized SOPs, safety protocols, and internal controls for business scalability.

Requirements

• Extensive leadership background within commercial or large-scale real estate development.
• Proven track record of structuring teams, defining SOPs, and scaling operations in a corporate setting.
• Demonstrated experience leading full project lifecycles from initial design through procurement and final site delivery.
• Direct experience managing cross-functional department heads, multi-million dollar budgets, and strategic vendor networks.
