Head of Investments - Deputy

Our client, well established within financial services is seeking to recruit for a Deputy Head of Investments. 

Duties include: 

• Lead, manage and mentor high-performing, experienced teams operating in a dynamic and evolving regulatory environment.
• Develop, review and implement strategic plans for the relevant sector, ensuring effective use of resources and the achievement of measurable outcomes and continuous improvements.
• Contribute to the overall leadership and strategic direction of the department, enhancing operational effectiveness and shaping the supervisory approach to entities within its remit.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration across teams and departments, encouraging alignment, knowledge sharing and coordinated delivery of organisational objectives.
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, resolve complex issues and foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing working environment.
• Lead engagement with industry associations and regulated organisations, establishing constructive relationships with board members, senior executives and other key stakeholders.
• Represent the organisation in external engagements with government authorities, European institutions and industry representatives.
• Deputise for the Head of the Department as required, ensuring continuity of leadership and effective delivery of key responsibilities.
• Exercise sound supervisory judgment in managing complex cases, challenging organisations on consumer protection matters and ensuring that identified issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Take responsibility for the performance, professional development and ongoing management of direct reports, supporting accountability, capability building and succession planning.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and assignments as delegated by the Head of the Department.

Requirements

• Candidates must hold an academic background in Banking, insurance and/or Investments
• You will also possess a minimum of six years working in a senior level
• Experience with MIFID II regulation is required and a strong background in investments
• Local experience is a must for this role
• Experience in leading teams is also required
