We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation for a Mechanical Engineer to join its Projects team and support the successful delivery of ongoing engineering projects in MEP and Renewable Energy.
This is a hands-on and varied role combining project coordination, site management, technical support, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Operations Manager, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, technicians, and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the Department Manager in the planning and successful execution of ongoing projects.
- Regularly attend project sites and monitor progress, quality, safety, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and documentation required for project execution.
- Maintain accurate records of materials and equipment used on site.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, technical designs, product information, and technical support.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, technicians, and other project stakeholders.
- Attend project and coordination meetings as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, quality, and performance.
- Monitor project performance against agreed objectives, timelines, quality, cost, and safety standards.
- Assist with project documentation, administration, and reporting.
- Provide technical and practical support to maintenance teams and site technicians when required.
- Stay updated on relevant service station systems, software, and hardware.
- Participate in technical training, conferences, events, and factory visits locally and overseas.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, MQF Level 6 or higher
- Previous experience in engineering projects is essential, ideally within the renewable energy and/or M&E sectors.
- Strong project coordination and organisational skills.
- Ability to schedule, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in English is a must; knowledge of Maltese & Italian will be considered an advantage
- Flexible approach to working hours and project requirements.
- Valid driving licence
