We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering organisation for an Electrical Engineer – QA/QC to oversee the quality and compliance of electrical installations across project sites.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys working on-site, ensuring high technical standards, and taking ownership of electrical testing, certification, and project handover.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out QA/QC inspections of electrical installations, including LV systems, distribution, earthing, lighting, and containment.
- Inspect and verify installations against approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Conduct and/or witness electrical testing, including continuity, insulation resistance, loop impedance, RCD, and polarity testing.
- Prepare and issue electrical certificates, test sheets, and compliance documentation.
- Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, and handover documentation.
- Liaise with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
- Support commissioning, inspections, and final project handovers.
What We're Looking For
- An Electrical Engineer, preferably at MQF Level 6 or higher, preferably warranted or in the process of getting a warrant
- Electrical Licence A and B will be considered an advantage, but are not mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in site-based electrical works, inspections, or QA/QC.
- Strong knowledge of Maltese electrical regulations and REWS requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Confident using electrical testing and measurement equipment.
- A detail-oriented and methodical approach to quality and compliance.
- A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to different situations
- Valid driving licence.
