We are looking for an experienced Building Services Engineer to assist with the preparation of mechanical system estimates and the management, planning and coordination of designs and systems procurement during the execution phase of the projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparation of estimates in coordination with the estimation and design manager.
- Co-ordination and preparation of workshop drawings, in coordination with drafting personnel, in line with the awarded contract
- Co-ordination of mechanical systems design with other trades
- Responsibility for systems design on assigned projects
- Preparation of material and equipment literature and samples for submission for client's approval.
- Assist in the preparation of material take-offs.
- Solicit and evaluate equipment quotes from suppliers both foreign and local, for materials, according to project requirements.
- Prepare purchase orders to suppliers for procurement of equipment.
- Attending meetings as directed by the direct superior
- Co-ordinate with team members to achieve the above
What We’re Looking For
- A Mechanical Engineer, preferably warranted
- Proven experience in mechanical cost estimation and tendering within building services
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of procurement and supplier coordination
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
- Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders
