Our client is seeking an Automation Technician to join their technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electrical and industrial automation background who enjoys a combination of hands-on field work and office-based technical support.
The Main Responsibilities include:
- Carry out installation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of industrial machinery at client sites.
- Support automation projects, including machine and panel building.
- Prepare service reports and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support via phone and email.
- Assist customers with product identification and technical enquiries.
- Recommend suitable automation solutions based on customer requirements.
Requirements
- Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Good understanding of industrial automation components, including PLCs, sensors, drives, HMIs, motor controls and pneumatics.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Valid Category B driving licence.
- Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

Education and experience
- Relevant qualification in Industrial Automation, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing or a related technical field.
- Previous local experience in industrial maintenance, automation or a similar technical role.
- Experience within an industrial environment is essential.
- Experience with robotics will be considered an asset.
- Electrical Licence A will be considered an asset.
