AML & Compliance Manager

Our client, an international CSP is looking to recruit an AML & Compliance Manager to join their growing team.

Main responsibilities:

• Support the MLRO and Compliance Officer in maintaining and enhancing the firm’s AML/CFT, sanctions, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, MFSA Rules, FIAU Implementing Procedures, international standards, and internal policies.
• Oversee customer onboarding, risk assessments, transaction monitoring, screening, periodic reviews, investigations, remediation, and offboarding.
• Review and approve higher-risk or complex cases, escalating matters to the MLRO where required.
• Monitor regulatory developments and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and controls.
• Prepare AML and compliance reports, KPIs, KRIs, and management and Board information.
• Lead, manage, and develop the AML team, ensuring workloads are prioritised and regulatory deadlines are met.
• Provide compliance guidance and training to business units and support regulatory inspections, audits, and requests from competent authorities.
• Assist with the Compliance Monitoring Programme, including documenting findings and tracking remedial actions.
• Promote a strong culture of compliance, integrity, and risk awareness across the organisation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in AML and regulatory compliance within financial services.
• Strong analytical, investigative, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Education and experience
