MLRO/Compliance Officer - 20 hours

Our client, a small CSP is looking for an MLRO/Compliance officer to work on 20 hours weekly. 

Key Responsibilities

•  Regulatory Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for the MFSA and FIAU,ensuring all statutory filings and communications are handled promptly.
• AML/CFT Compliance: Maintain and update the firm’s AML/CFT policies and procedures.
• Onboarding & Risk Assessment: Manage Client Due Diligence (CDD) and perform comprehensive risk assessments for new and existing clients.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct ongoing client screening (Sanctions/PEP) and investigate/report suspicious transactions to the FIAU as well as mandatory filings.
• Internal Oversight: Assist your peers with awareness on AML / CFT.

Requirements

• Ideally PQ'd by the MFSA and previous local experience in a similar role
• Deep understanding of Maltese regulatory frameworks and FIAU implementing procedures.
• Exceptional written and spoken English.
